ESCWA and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Somalia organized a workshop on 15 and 16 March, to discuss the main findings of a study recently conducted by the Commission on the institutional and human capacity development for social protection policy implementation in the country.
The workshop discussed the human and organizational capacities already available within the Ministry, and explored which additional capacities were still required to manage social protection successfully.
ESCWA presented stocktaking findings related to the Ministry's institutional and organizational set-up, which would improve social protection policymaking and strengthen implementation capacities.
