COVID Cases in SA
There have been 3,749 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 32,105 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm one male in his 70s, who tested positive for COVID-19, has passed away.
There are 223 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including eight people in ICU, one of those ventilated. Of those hospitalised, 158 people are fully vaccinated, 61 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and four have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

The latest genome sampling has found around 60% of samples taken were BA.2.

COVID testing
Yesterday, 11,518 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 15.9% decrease on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 2,478 PCR tests were positive, while 1,271 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
