COVID Cases in SA

There have been 1,996 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 15,931 active cases in South Australia.

There are 216 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including nine people in ICU. Of those hospitalised, 116 people have received three or more vaccine doses and 100 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and eight have an unknown vaccination status.

Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

    Variants

    The latest genome sampling from 1 to 13 June has found 80.7% of samples taken were BA.2.

    COVID testing

    Yesterday, 6,101 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 14% decrease on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 1,049 PCR tests were positive, while 947 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
