From never before seen interactive and quirky art creations, a boutique paint and sip experience, to aerial dances and an art take-over in the heart of the Sydney's south - Kogarah, Un[contained] 2021 will captivate, surprise and amaze Sydneysiders for three days in June.
With an interactive contemporary street art festival program; local and international artists will unveil their latest works that expand and challenge art creation without limitations from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 June.
Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene said the inaugural Un[contained] festival brings a unique three days of excitement that will surprise and delight our city.
"The festival breaks art free of a traditional gallery space and sees it takes over the streets.
"Bringing together large scale installations with small discoverable artworks, our community will uncover incidental art experiences, and immersive activities involving performance, sound, light, and colour.
"I cannot wait for everyone to join me to take part in a celebration of our city's creativity."
Un[contained] has received generous support from several leading brands in the community including local law firm Colin Daley Quinn.

Highlights include:
Un[contained] Playground
For three days only, Un[contained] will spill out onto the streets with quality food and interactive entertainments, while letting your imagination run free.
Kogarah will be transformed into a playground for grown-ups with a welcoming, quirky vibe featuring Archie Rose Distilling Co., iconic Gelato Messina, international food sensation Knafeh Brothers, boutique paint and sip experience Pinot and Picasso and surreal expressive performances.
Aerial performances:
The sky is the limit with Keila Terencio performing a free-form aerial dance up to 6 metres in the air. Each performance will be unique and engage the audience to move their body in imitation of the artist.
Un[contained] Quiet Hour:
Art lovers and festival goers with additional needs will have their designated Quiet Hour between 1.00pm-2.00pm, Sunday 6 June, so they can explore the epic performances and mesmerising art installations in their own comfort.
Take a calmer journey with less sound, softer lighting and smaller crowd.
Art Installations to be seen for the first time ever including:
Anson and Lawrence, are a pair of designers from Sydney, wanting to explore design to question social paradigms and introduce new ideas. Famous for their LED installations in Vivid Sydney and large scale sculptures in Sculptures by the Sea, Un[contained] will see these passions collide in their new work, 'Ecosystem'.
Bliss Cavanagh is a sensory artist and designer with a purpose to bring sensory wellness to the world through her signature sensory-art designs. Her work has been commissioned for numerous community events including the 'Jurassic Lounge' at the Australian Museum, Sydney. See her newest creation, 'Light Forms', transforming a shipping container into a world of wonder.
Kit Webster is an artist with works ranging from light sculptures to immersive audio-visual experiences, combining art and design with technology. Having previously exhibited at Vivid Sydney, Dark Mofo and New York Fashion Week, Kit has worked all over the world with his unique style, creating his latest work, 'Epiphany', for Un[contained].
Georgia is a proud Sydney based artist, illustrator and graphic designer, who started drawing the buildings in her neighbourhood. She now draws houses the world over, drawing over 700 last year alone! Georgia has spoken at Melbourne Writers' Festival, Sydney Writers' Festival and most recently completed her first exhibition at the Museum of Sydney.
