This Sunday, 13 September, Fairfield City residents are invited to Council's free Spring Clean Drop-Off Day at Fairfield Showground from 7am to 3.30pm. This annual event provides a convenient way to dispose of unwanted bulky household items responsibly while helping keep our homes, streets and neighbourhoods clean. Simply load up your car or trailer with unwanted items and bring them along to Fairfield Showground.To make the day run smoothly, please place small or loose items in bags or boxes, separate any garden waste, metals, e-waste and mattresses as these will be recycled. Last year alone, residents brought more than 110 tonnes of material to the event, including general waste, green waste, metals, e-waste and 363 mattresses. That's a fantastic result and a testament to our community's commitment to reducing waste and recycling wherever possible. I encourage all Fairfield City residents to take advantage of this free service and do their part for a cleaner, greener Fairfield City.
