State Government Level Crossing Removals - drop-in sessions coming up

The State Government's Level Crossing Removal project team will be holding information sessions in August about the Maroondah Highway and Manchester Road level crossing removals.

The State Government recently announced that elevated rail bridges would be the preferred option to remove the dangerous and congested level crossings in Manchester Road, Mooroolbark and Maroondah Highway, Lilydale.

The project is expected to be complete by 2022 and will include:

  • New elevated stations at Mooroolbark and Lilydale
  • Up to 450 new and upgraded car parking spaces to be built at Mooroolbark
  • Relocation of the station and bus interchange at Lilydale
  • Improved walking and cycling connections at Lilydale

The project team will be hosting drop-in sessions on the projects:

  • Mooroolbark

    Thursday, 22 August, 6-8pm

    Manchester Primary School, Monomeith Street, Mooroolbark

  • Lilydale

    Saturday, 24 August, 10am-noon

    Lilydale Primary School, Castella Street, Lilydale
