This morning the Queensland Parliament Health, Environment, and Innovation Committee released the findings of the Inquiry into Improving Queensland's Container Refund Scheme.
The findings are a damning indictment on the former Labor Government and the Leader of the Opposition who oversaw the establishment of the scheme.
The report details serious allegations of bullying, intimidation, and corrupt behaviour.
The committee has made a number of referrals to the Crime and Corruption Commission.
The report makes a number of recommendations, which our Government will now review to determine the way forward.
But it is clear that things must change.
We remain committed to Containers for Change, increasing the container recovery rate, and boosting recycling across Queensland.
