National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke today with Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė of Lithuania, affirming the strength of our bilateral ties. They discussed ongoing efforts to deepen economic, diplomatic, and defense cooperation between our countries. Mr. Sullivan reaffirmed strong U.S. support for Lithuania as it faces attempted coercion from the People's Republic of China. He also underscored U.S. appreciation for Lithuania's principled foreign policy in support of democracy and human rights, including in Belarus. Mr. Sullivan condemned the Lukashenka regime's orchestration of irregular migrant flows across its borders.
