The council-owned holiday parks are booked solidly for the peak middle period of the school holidays from December 22 to January 11 but there are still some vacancies just waiting to be snapped up during the first and last two weeks of the break.
Tourism, Events and Sport Portfolio Cr Jason O'Pray said there was no doubt the Sunshine Coast was a popular holiday destination at any time of the year.
"Our holiday parks are a great option for visitors from outside our region and for locals looking to enjoy a 'staycation'," Cr O'Pray said.
"There is so much to explore in our region - clean waterways, patrolled swimming and surfing beaches and the natural wonders and outdoor adventures which will take your breath away.
"Our holiday parks are conveniently located, allowing visitors to stay right on the beach or river frontage and do as much or as little as they like.
"If you just want to park the car and not wander too far, our holiday parks have once again organised some awesome holiday activities to entertain children and adults alike.
"For those who want to be a little more adventurous, there are a range of fantastic tours, attractions, restaurants, activities and literally loads of bucket list experiences just waiting to be explored.
"And for those who like to bring Fido with them, Coolum Beach and Mudjimba Beach are dog friendly."
Council operates six beachside holiday parks - Dicky Beach, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Cotton Tree, Mudjimba and Coolum.
