Bayside's spectacular coastline is a wonderful place to walk, explore and enjoy the outdoors.
When visiting our beaches and clifftops, it's important to be aware of the natural environment and take extra care around cliffs.
The cliffs around Red Bluff and other parts of Bayside are naturally changing environments.
Rain, groundwater and wave action can contribute to erosion and instability, which means rockfalls can occur and cliff edges may not always be as stable as they appear.
Stick to designated paths and lookouts, stay behind fences and follow warning and closure signs.
Keep well back from cliff edges and avoid sitting or walking directly beneath cliff faces, particularly in areas where rockfall warnings are in place.
Keep an extra eye on children and dogs around these areas too.
Conditions can change over time, even in familiar places. Always follow safety signage when visiting the foreshore.
