Stealing and fraud at Gympie

Police have released vision of a man who may be able to assist with ongoing investigations into fraud incidents in Gympie in late March.

On Saturday, March 26, a 64-year-old woman was at a shopping centre on the corner of Nash and Monkland Streets, Gympie when her credit card was stolen around 5:40pm.

From Sunday, March 27 to Tuesday March 29, between 9:25am and 10:10am the man pictured attended a tobacco store on Mary Street, a supermarket on Reef Street, a service station and takeaway store on Wickham Street and a bottle shop on Exhibition Road where he allegedly used the victim's credit card to purchase cigarettes, alcohol and food.

Police are appealing for anyone who may recognise the man in the CCTV images or have further information to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
