Griffith City Council advises the community that the new paid parking system at Griffith Regional Airport will enter a two-week testing phase in the coming days as works near completion.
The testing period will allow Council and contractors to ensure all components of the system, including boom gates, pay stations and associated technology, are operating correctly before the facility becomes fully operational.
Importantly, parking will remain free of charge throughout the testing period, with no fees applied while the system is being assessed.
Council will notify the community prior to the paid parking system becoming operational and before any parking charges are introduced.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, follow signage and exercise caution when entering and exiting the airport precinct while testing activities are underway.
Council thanks airport users and the wider community for their patience and cooperation as the final stages of the project are completed.
