Stealing Incident in Middle Swan, WA

Midland Police are seeking information regarding an incident in Middle Swan on Saturday 10 June 2017 where a painting was stolen.

About 5:30pm, a man believed to have been a passenger on a tour bus, entered the Chapel Farm Winery on Toodyay Road. The man has grabbed a painting valued at $8,000 from the wall and run out the door, WA Police say.

Staff members chased the man down the street and managed to retrieve the painting but it was damaged during the incident.

The man is described as 25 to 30 years of age, fair skinned, approximately 165cms tall, with a medium build and short brown hair. He was wearing a purple dress shirt, black pants, black and white sneakers and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
