Street Science has been recognised as an industry leader in science education taking out the Champion Children's Educational Services award at the Small Business Champion awards ceremony on Saturday 29th April, 2023. Street Science took out the top spot in a highly competitive category with 23 other finalists.
From face-to-face incursions in schools, and entertaining science shows and workshops in the community Street Science ensure that science education is accessible to everyone.
For over 10 years Street Science have been taking their award-winning science program into schools across Queensland and NSW. Now with Federal Government backing they will be expanding cross Australia with the newly launched SISTA Project to ensure that all Australian children can reach their STEM potential.
The Australian Small Business Champion Awards are recognised as the 'Oscars' for small business and are the only national recognition program for Australian small businesses.
Street Science also picked up two Stevie awards at the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards, for Innovative Achievement in Science or Technology, and Innovative Achievement in Thought Leadership, as we as the Grand Stevie Award for Australia - – awarded to the company that has the highest rated nomination in their country.'

During COVID, as schools and communities shut down and business came to a halt, the team at Street Science adapted and pivoted. Rather than fold or lay off staff, Steve Liddell had the team explore new ways they could continue to engage students and spread their passion for science. The results were a raft of new products as well as the development of the Street Science studio - a purpose-built broadcasting studio from where the team can broadcast their science shows to any school in the country. The goal of making science education accessible to every student across the country was getting closer. Next the team set about creating the Street Science Classroom Kit - this award-winning innovative product is a Street Science hands-on workshop in a box – combining both physical resources and digital technology, the Street Science Classroom Kit makes science engagement easy and accessible for all students.
As science education plays a pivotal role in future career opportunities, now is the time to provide ALL Australian children with the opportunity to engage in some Seriously Fun Science.
