The Government of Canada awards over $1 million to Atelier d'usinage Quenneville and to the Community Economic Development and Employability Corporation (CEDEC)

Atelier d'usinage Quenneville is a leader in manufacturing metal parts for the railway industry and the machining of parts for heavy industry. The company received a repayable contribution of $193,617 under CED's Quebec Economic Development Program in order to ensure its expansion and increase its competitiveness.
The Community Economic Development and Employability Corporation (CEDEC) is a non-profit organization that supports the development of entrepreneurship, tourism and community capacity, particularly in official language minority communities in Quebec. A non-repayable contribution of $900,000 is awarded to CEDEC under the Official Languages Economic Development Initiative to support its "Small Business Support" project, dedicated to the economic development of official language minority communities (OLMCs).
Through CED's financial assistance, Atelier d'usinage Quenneville was able to purchase digital production equipment intended for manufacturing complex metal parts. Digitizing its production will accelerate the company's growth in the transportation equipment sector and the major infrastructure projects sector, create good quality jobs, and strengthen its competitiveness and the competitive advantage it has with major contractors.
The assistance for CEDEC will help the organization support, improve and grow companies through business advice, sales and networking opportunities training, and mentoring services. That support aims to help entrepreneurs make the right decisions and implement measures that will stimulate the growth of their companies. CEDEC has nine offices across Quebec.
