Successful grant applicants: Campaspe Shire

Campaspe Shire Council has approved a total of $48,230 to 20 grant applicants through a range of grant programs at the final Council meeting for 2022.

Mayor Rob Amos congratulated the successful grant applicants.

"Well done to the following community groups, clubs and associations that have been awarded a grant through one of Council's programs. I look forward to seeing your projects come to life."

Nine grant applicants were successful in applying to the Community Equipment Grants Program, a program open year round to support community groups purchase equipment for their programs and activities:

$2,000 Crossenvale Community House – to assist with the purchase of drumming equipment for the My Drum Circle Program

$2,000 Rochester Little Athletics – to assist with the purchase of javelins, vortex, high jump cross bar, first aid kits and rubberised resurfacing

$2,000 Echuca Moama Uniting Church – to assist with the purchase of a portable PA system

$2,000 Rotary Club of Kyabram – to assist with the construction of a barbeque trailer

$1,600 Lockington Bowls Club – to assist with the purchase of four K Care bowls walkers

$1,360 Kyabram District Men's Shed – to assist with the purchase of a CTS true helix spiral cutter

$1,000 Echuca Moama Broadcast Service (Radio EMFM) – to assist with the purchase of ten office chairs

$2,000 Kyabram Lawn Tennis Club – to assist with the purchase of a pump to upgrade the irrigation system

$200 Rich River Calisthenics – to purchase a new air tracking mat

Seven grant applicants were successful in applying to the Community Grants Program, a program that opens twice a year to support community groups to deliver projects, exhibitions or performances:

$4,000 Echuca Moama Apex Club – to assist with the installation of new shop fronts at the front and rear openings of the hall

$2,000 Gunbower Memorial Hall Committee – to assist with the replacement of the second half of the hall roof

$2,580 Echuca Regional Health – to purchase possum skins to assist Aboriginal Elders supporting new mums to design possum skins for babies to be cradled in

$1,900 Rushworth Bowls Club – to assist with repairs to the seating area at the southern end of the top green

$4,000 Echuca Primary School – to assist with the refurbishment of the cricket nets to ensure safe facilities for use by students and the broader community

$4,000 Community Living and Respite Services – to purchase a small shed to provide an outdoor space that meets sensory needs for the Defined Support Program

$3,000 Girgarre Development Group – to install panels depicting events and activities that have been held in Girgarre over the past 20 years

Three grant applicants were successful in applying to the Responsive Grants Program, a program open year round for community group urgent needs:

$840 Wyuna Community Memorial Hall – to assist with the cost of food and beverage items for the Wyuna Flood Thank You Barbeque

$750 Nanneella Estate Primary School – to assist with hosting a Community Colour Run

$1,000 Rochester Community House – to assist with hosting the Rochester Town Christmas Party

Two grant applicants have been successful in their applying to the Community Event Sponsorship Program, a program offering financial support to not-for-profit community groups to hold events:

$5,000 Veteran Cricket Victoria – to assist with hosting the 10th Anniversary Over 60s Cricket Carnival to be held at various locations across the shire

$5,000 Echuca Moama Triathlon Club – to assist with hosting the 2023 Echuca Moama Triathlon as well as in kind support to the value of $300
