Sunshine Coast Woman Wins $1.8M With Her Lucky Numbers

A Sunshine Coast woman, who has been dedicatedly playing her special set of numbers for what she humorously described as "what feels like a thousand years", was left in disbelief when those numbers secured her a whopping $1.8 million in the Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw.

The fortunate woman from Queensland was among the 11 division one winners in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4409 that took place on 21 October 2023, with each recipient taking home an impressive $1,818,181.82.

Upon receiving the confirmation call from lotto officials, she could barely contain her excitement.

“I think I blacked out! I pulled the ticket up and my mind just went into overdrive," she shared.

The realization that she had won such a significant amount left her feeling like she was "walking on sunshine".

She has been playing the same numbers consistently, celebrating minor victories over the years. This massive win was a surprise, and she expressed her gratitude for sticking with her numbers.

“These have been my numbers for what feels like a thousand years, and I became so used to bagging small wins.

“It’s such a shock but thank god I stuck with these numbers of mine".

As for her plans with the newfound wealth, she plans to take her time.

"I’ll park my money for about six months and then I’ll figure out what I want to do. The world is my oyster and I’m so grateful,” she expressed.

Her lucky ticket was purchased from TSG Chancellor Park, located in the Chancellor Park Market Place at Sippy Downs. The team at TSG Chancellor Park was elated to have sold the division one winning entry and extended their best wishes to the lucky winner.

The golden numbers that changed these lives were 30, 29, 7, 2, 31, and 12, with 9 and 33 as supplementary numbers.  You can find the breakdown of the divisional winnings here: Saturday Lotto Superdraw 4409 Makes 11 Millionaires.

While known as TattsLotto in Victoria, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory, it's called Saturday Lotto in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, and Western Australia. Queensland residents refer to it as Gold Lotto, and in South Australia, it's named Saturday X Lotto.
