Supercars Set to Light Up City After Dark

Aftera successful first year, the Night Supercar Convoy is back again next week toactivate the Darwin CBD in the lead up to the 2019 BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown.

TheTerritory Labor Government is continuing to transform Darwin city into aworld-class tourist and cultural destination, which will create jobs forTerritorians and support local business, through activations like the NightSupercars Transporter Convoy.

Officiallykicking off the Supercars weekend, the popular Night Supercars TransporterConvoy will make its way through the streets of Darwin on Wednesday, 12 Junefrom 4pm to 7.30pm. The city activations program will have something for allages, with a range of exciting attractions and entertainment planned acrossDarwin and Palmerston until Friday, 14 June.

Thenight time arrival of the convey allows school children, families and peoplewho do not work in Darwin CBD to get involved and enjoy the fun.

Allmembers of the family will be catered for, with kids activities, racingsimulators, a light projector show, stilt walkers, a jumping castle, photobooth, Mack the Truck activities and much more.

Membersof public will also be able to enjoy a live music performance by Adelaide-basedband Clearway, late night retail therapy and a range of delicious food anddrink options, with restaurants and cafes open for take away dishes to enjoy inRaintree Park.

OnThursday 13 June, motorsports fans will have the opportunity to meet and greettheir Supercars idols as part of a drivers signing session at Raintree Parkfrom 11am to 1pm.

Asidefrom purchasing their favourite teams merchandise, Territorians and touristswill also be able to enjoy Robbie Maddisons exciting stunt show and themuch-anticipated Hot Wheels display to name a few.

Laterthat afternoon, Mindil Beach will host another drivers signing session, a HotWheels display, as well as a brand new stunt show involving the Territorys ownOutback Wrangler Matt Wright and internationally-renowned stuntman RobbieMaddison.

Wrappingup the city activations in the lead up to the 2019 BetEasy Darwin Triple Crownis a final stunt show at Palmerston Markets on Friday 14 June from 5.30pm involving Robbie Maddison and the Hot Wheels stunt team.
