Cessnock City Council's Economic Development Team has five $100 gourmet gift hampers from Shop Hunter Valley to give away as part of its ongoing 'Support Local' campaign.

For the month of May, Support Local is all about health and wellbeing. Residents are encouraged to post a photo of themsleves to Facebook or Instagram and give a shoutout to a local health provider, medical centre, gym, sports facility or sports retailer in the Greater Cessnock area.

To ensure the team can see the entry, set the post to public and use the campaign hashtag #SupportLocalCessnock. Residents can enter as many times as they like and winners will be selected randomly.

Cessnock City Council Mayor Jay Suvaal is encouraging residents to show their support for our local health, wellness and fitness providers this May.

"There are so many wonderful businesses in the Cessnock LGA who do a great job of ensuring residents stay fit and healthy," Councillor Suvaal said.

"This May you can show your appreciation for all that they do to keep our community healthy and well by simply tagging them and using the Support Local hashtag on social media."

This competition will run from 1 to 31 May 2022. For terms and conditions, visit the Advance Greater Cessnock website and be sure to follow the Advance Greater Cessnock Facebook page to stay up-to-date with the 'Support Local' campaign.

Local business owners can access the 'Support Local' campaign toolkit via the Advance Greater Cessnock website to help promote their services and facilities.
