A Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will provide $280,000 for the Tribe Youth Group, to help them purchase equipment to teach their youth members the value of enterprise, provide them with job experience and keep them off the streets.
Tribe has been running for over four years and in that time, supported over 250 young people. Tribe creates safe spaces for young people to connect and engage with others their age, catering for those between the ages of 8yo and 18yo.
Shadow Minister for Youth Affairs, Dr Matt Bach, said Tribe Youth Group is an amazing example of a not-for-profit organisation supporting hundreds of our most vulnerable citizens.
"Over the course of the last two years, we've seen first-hand the impact COVID has had on our youngest and most vulnerable Victorians."
"The Liberals and Nationals will always assist organisations like Tribe Youth Group who do amazing work supporting young people in accessing counselling services, work experience and even permanent housing."
