The University of Sunshine Coast sporting cohort has collected 21 medals at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, as Australia finished well clear in first place.
Headed by swim star Alexandria Perkins' four gold and one silver, UniSC high-performance athletes shone across 11 days of competition in Scotland.
Fellow UniSC Swimming squad members Jenna Jones (gold and bronze), Lakeisha Patterson (gold), Isaac Cooper (gold) and Emily Beecroft (silver) also experienced the elation of standing upon the podium.
Another glut of medals came in cycling, where three graduates of the Australian Cycling Academy - Oliver Bleddyn (gold and two silver), Blake Agnoletto (gold and silver) and Sophie Edwards (gold) - were among the thick of the action.
In netball, new Sunshine Coast Lightning signing Karin Burger captained New Zealand to an emotional gold against Jamaica.
Australia's Diamonds finished third in the competition, with fellow Lightning stars Courtney Bruce, Cara Koenen, and Liz Watson representing, and Donnel Wallam a shadow reserve.
Meanwhile in wheelchair basketball, UniSC prosthetics and orthotics graduate Hannah Dodd helped Australia to a bronze medal with a 19-17 nailbiter against Canada.
On the running track, ex-UniSC athlete Peyton Craig finished sixth in the 800m final, just half a second off a medal.
Nathan Jason was disappointed not to medal in the T12 100m, but after switching from swimming, has done remarkably to own the national record in his new sport.
In lawn bowls, Katelyn Inch was unlucky to miss the finals for her birth nation New Zealand after finishing one spot outside qualification.
