Bayside households can now take the stress out of home energy upgrades with our new Love Bayside, Home Energy Upgrades Program.
Delivered in partnership with Yarra Energy Foundation (YEF), the program offers residents a simpler way to plan their electrification journey.
YEF provides free energy advice, helps households navigate Victorian Government rebates, and connects them with accredited installers including All Electric Homes for solar and electrification and Enviroflex for insulation.
Energy expert and author of My Efficient Electric Home Handbook, Tim Forcey (pictured below), said the program should make the transition to electrification less daunting for our community.
"Researching products, finding reliable installers and navigating rebates can feel overwhelming. That's where this program helps with most of the hard work already done. You can trust suppliers have been vetted and advice is free," Tim said.

Making a difference
The program connects residents with free tailored advice, vetted installers that provide free site visits and quotes with no obligations, and competitive deals on upgrades including rooftop solar and batteries, insulation, reverse-cycle heating and cooling, hot water heat pumps, induction cooktops and EV chargers.
Tim has seen first-hand how electrification transforms homes, having advised more than 1000 Victorian households to make the switch.
"In our home, we spend less than $200 a year on heating and cooling by switching to electricity. Once you tackle draughts, add insulation and upgrade to electric appliances, your bills go down and comfort goes up," he said.
The benefits extend beyond bills. "Cooking with gas has been linked to respiratory issues like childhood asthma. When you stop burning fuels inside, the air is cleaner and healthier for everyone," Tim said.
"And with energy prices rising and generous rebates available, now is the perfect time to upgrade."
