Sydney Craft Week Festival 9-18 October 2026
Sydney Craft Week will return in October 2026 with nearly 100 events celebrating the makers, studios and creative communities shaping Sydney's craft scene.
Following the closure of the Australian Design Centre, UNSW School of Art & Design will produce the tenth Sydney Craft Festival, bringing workshops, markets, exhibitions and open studios to venues across Sydney and surrounding areas.
This year's theme, 'Community' celebrates the connections between makers and the people who support, share and experience their work. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn new skills, meet local artists and designers, browse handmade wares and take part in creative activities for all ages and abilities.
Continuing Sydney Craft Week has been made possible through significant support from UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture, with additional legacy funding from the Australia Design Centre.
Professor Alison Gwilt, Head of School, UNSW School of Art & Design, said Sydney Craft Week reflected the School and Faculty's commitment to creativity, sustainability and community engagement.

From hands-on workshops and open studios to markets featuring locally made work, Sydney Craft Week will invite audiences to discover the creative possibilities of making and connect with the people behind the work.
Sydney Craft Week runs from 9-18 October 2026.
