Sydney Man Bags $15 Million in Oz Lotto Windfall

A Blacktown man is celebrating a life-changing windfall after discovering he held one of the two winning tickets in Tuesday night's Oz Lotto draw, taking home a whooping $15 million, half of the $30 million jackpot. The other $15 million was bagged by a Queensland resident.

The unnamed winner, a resident of Sydney, says he checked his Oz Lotto entry immediately after the draw and was left speechless by the life-altering number he saw as his winning.

"Mate, I haven't slept!" he exclaimed to a lotto official who called to confirm his win.

"I saw the win last night and thought I was losing it!"

The $30 million draw, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Oz Lotto, made it "all the sweeter" to win.

He expressed his plans to finally become mortgage-free and embark on a long-awaited overseas adventure with his wife.

“I just never thought I’d see the day when this would happen.

“The first thing that came to my head last night was, ‘I’m mortgage-free.’

“That is a huge weight off my shoulders and is going to set us up for the future.

“My wife and I are already fantasising about booking an overseas trip too.

“We haven’t travelled in years and don’t know where we want to go yet but we can’t wait.

“Thank you so much, mate. I don’t know when I’ll be able to sleep again.”

The man’s winning marked three-game System 8 entry was purchased on the official website.

The winning numbers for the draw were 11, 39, 24, 33, 7, 43, and 17, with supplementary numbers 26, 44, and 27.
