Taking Sneak Peek At New Gungahlin Community Centre

Construction is now complete and the finishing touches are being applied to the new Gungahlin Community Centre, which is planned to open on 6 July 2026.

The centre features a range of inclusive hireable spaces, creative studios, kitchen facilities, a gallery room, dance studio and a multipurpose hall to host all manner of meetings, creative programs, events and other community activities.

This purpose-built facility - an ACT Labor election commitment and part of the Government's Gungahlin Regional Plan - will support Gungahlin's growing population as a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together.

The co-located youth hub will be managed by Northside Community Services, building on the success of the community-driven Gunners Place.

Located conveniently in the Gungahlin Town Centre, the centre can be easily accessed by public transport with light rail nearby and a bus stop out the front, as well as nearby parking and bike facilities.

There will also be outdoor green spaces around the centre for people to gather and relax.

The local community and key stakeholders were consulted during the planning process to ensure the centre met their needs.

Bookings can be made from 22 June 2026 through the Venues, spaces and precincts webpage.

Community groups and future users can register their interest via the project page on Built for CBR.
