Each year, from 25 November to 10 December, the 16 Days of Activism campaign calls for action against one of the world's most persistent violations of human rights - violence against women.
Strathbogie Shire Council will display orange cut-outs of children throughout the Shire featuring QR codes which can be scanned to view an informative video created by Our Watch for its 'Change the Story' campaign.

The use of children in the displays, Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Cr Laura Binks explained, was because violence against women affects so many children across the globe.
"Research shows that gender inequality is the core of violence towards women, so gender equality must be the heart of the solution," Cr Binks said.
"Change the Story is an opportunity to change the narrative we teach children around gender inequality from a young age; often without even realising we are doing so.
"The Our Watch campaign provides an important to focus on the impacts gendered violence has on children, and importantly, offers tools for how we can all participate in ending it."
