Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife (QPWS) crews will continue to monitor a bushfire burning in bushland to the north of Middle Road and Bulwer Blue Lagoon Road. The Tangalooma area is not under threat at this time. There are separate bushfire warnings current for Bulwer/Cowan and campers on Moreton Island. People in those areas should follow instructions given in those bushfire warnings. Smoke may affect Tangalooma and surrounds. If affected, residents should close windows and doors. Those suffering from a respiratory condition are advised to keep their medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
