Bellerive CIB is continuing to investigate what is believed to be a serious assault on a young child in Southern Tasmania.
The child presented to the Royal Hobart Hospital early yesterday with critical injuries that are believed to be suspicious. They remain in hospital in a critical condition.
Police including officers from CIB, Forensics and Uniform are continuing to investigate and conduct examinations. This is expected to take some time.
