Tasmanian Man Faces Charges for Drug Trafficking, Burglary, Theft, Firearms

Police have charged a 33-year-old Penguin man with drug trafficking, following the seizure of a significant amount of methamphetamine (Ice) at his home in Penguin today.

The drugs were located in a planned search operation, alongside a quantity of cash, stolen property, a firearm, and ammunition.

The amount of Ice seized had the potential to put hundreds of people in our community at risk.

The man has been charged with trafficking in controlled substance, dealing with proceeds of crime, burglary, stealing, unlawful possession of property and firearm offences.

He has been detained in custody to appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
