Jo Palmer,
Minister for Primary Industries and Water
In a joint effort to assist Tasmanian producers affected by drought or natural disasters, the Federal and State Governments have announced an extension to the On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme.
The scheme provides financial support for acquiring, installing, and/or repairing damaged on-farm water infrastructure.
Under the scheme, the water infrastructure must help address one of the following:
- animal welfare;
- the resilience of primary producers against future droughts;
- repair and replacement of damaged water infrastructure to aid recovery from natural disasters; and
- support permanent planting requirements.
