Teenager arrested after armed robbery in Bakery Hill

A teenager has been arrested following an armed robbery in Bakery Hill on August 6.

Police have been told the 15-year-old allegedly walked into a store on Hummffray Street, stole alcohol and threatened a salesperson with a knife, about 9.50pm.

The offender then left, only to return to the store and demand more alcohol from the salesperson.

The 32-year-old man then grabbed the teenager pushed him out the door, locked it and called police.

It's understood the offender then fled to a licenced premises on Mair Street and was arrested by officers a short time later.

He has been released on summons to attend a children's court at a later date.
