Teenager sexually touched, man charged - Hurstville Grove

A man will appear in court today charged after allegedly indecently assaulting a door-to-door saleswoman in Sydney's south.

About 7.30pm on Friday (27 December 2019), an 18-year-old woman had finished her shift as a door-to-door saleswoman and was walking on Hillcrest Avenue, Hurstville Grove, when she was stopped by a man.

Police will allege in court that the man invited her inside his nearby residence. While inside, the man allegedly indecently assaulted the woman several times and tried to spoon-feed her yoghurt.

The teenager managed to leave the home and the next day, she notified officers from St George Police Area Command, who commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, investigators arrested a 41-year-old man at a home in Hillcrest Avenue, Hurstville Grove, about 3.45pm yesterday (Saturday 28 December 2019).

He was taken to Kogarah Police Station, where he was charged with incite another to sexually touch them without consent, and two counts of sexually touch another person without consent.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 29 December 2019).
