Three teenage boys will face court after multiple break and enters in the state's west earlier this month.
Operation Soteria is focused on crime reduction, offender disruption, and community safety across the state.
About 4.30am yesterday (Wednesday 17 June 2026), officers attached to Central West Police District were called to Barcelona Way, Orange, following reports three people had entered the yards of several properties in the area.
A short time later, police located three teenage boys nearby, allegedly wearing balaclavas and gloves.
The boys – all aged 16 – were arrested and taken to Orange Police Station.
One boy was charged with four counts of enter building/land with intent to commit indictable offence, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60,000, commit Section 154A offence and disseminate, and two counts of breach of bail.
The second boy was charged with two counts of enter building/land with intent to commit indictable offence, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60,000, and breach of bail.
The third boy was charged with four counts of enter building/land with intent to commit indictable offence, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60,000, and breach of bail.
Police will allege in court the boys were involved in break and enters across the Orange area earlier this month.
They were all refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Thursday 18 June 2026).
