Council provides the following update to residents and the sporting community, as a result of recent inclement weather, ALL sports fields have been temporarily closed.
Use of sporting fields while in a saturated state often results in unintentional damage to the playing surface. To best protect these community assets, the fields are expected to remain closed Friday 5th August 2022 , however are expected to be reopened Saturday 6th August for the regular weekend sporting competitions. Council will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as required.
Any sporting bodies affected by these closures are encouraged to contact Council's Infrastructure Services Department to reschedule their training and / or matches. We apologise for this inconvenience and will continue to do our very best to work with the community by making alternate arrangements, where possible.
