Ten people arrested - Operation Artsop

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives and uniform members have arrested ten people as part of a police operation in the Sunshine and Keilor areas.

Officers executed warrants on four residential properties, seizing weapons, drugs and stolen vehicles.

Two stolen cars and one stolen motorcycle were recovered and nine vehicles impounded, with a quantity of cannabis, methyl amphetamine and cannabis plants also seized.

The weapons seized include a taser, extendable baton, flick knife, a sword, imitation firearm and shotgun rounds.

Nine men and a woman were arrested and charged with a variety of offences including car theft, drug possession, drug cultivation and drug trafficking.

All have been either remanded or bailed to appear in court at a later date.

The arrests come as part of Operation Artsop, an investigation targeting residential and commercial burglaries, vehicle crime and robberies in the Brimbank area.
