Tender advertised for Years 11 & 12 Learning Areas at Woodbridge School

Nic Street,Liberal Member for Franklin

A tender for building two new learning spaces at Woodbridge School for the Years 11 & 12 extension school program has been released as part of our vision to create contemporary and inspiring learning spaces.

This capital works project will include a dedicated learning space, study nooks, breakout space with kitchenette and is anticipated to be completed in late 2022.

Students and staff at Woodbridge School have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Liminal Studio to design this highly responsive building to meet the needs of the Woodbridge community.

This project will offer highly flexible and personalised learning opportunities, where individual educational needs and outcomes are met while students are able to remain in their local community.

Woodbridge School Years 11 and 12 program will offer a mix of Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) courses and Vocational Education Training (VET) programs.

We recognise that education is the best investment any Government can make as it's an investment in our future.

Through our 2021 election commitments the Government is investing a further $116.2 million in education infrastructure.

In combination with other infrastructure projects, this additional investment takes the total Capital Investment Program over four years to $271.8 million.

With these works commencing at Woodbridge School the aspirations, expectations and needs of the local community are being well be served by the State Government funding.
