Territory Hosts High Level European Union Delegation

The Territory's trade and investment opportunities are on show to Europe this week, with a delegation of European Union representatives visiting Darwin and Alice Springs.

The group, which is being led by the Ambassador to the European Union, comprises of Australian-based diplomats and officials from 14 European Union countries.

They will spend five days discovering the Territory's trade and investment opportunities around three themes:

  • Resources, Energy and Agribusiness – Oil, Gas, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS), Renewable Energy, Agribusiness, Defence, Minerals and Mining
  • Destination Territory – Tourism, Tourism Infrastructure, Arts and Culture, Screen Territory and International Education
  • Innovation Territory – Space, Data and Digital, Technology

During the briefings and site visits, the delegates will have the opportunity to receive presentations and discussions with relevant Territory government representatives and stakeholders.

They are also being presented with project pitches from industry and business owners, and will experience the Territory's unique hospitality and culture.

The trip will be a driving force for generating more investment opportunities in the Territory, to encourage interest from Europe and beyond.
