Territory set to be on Display

The Territory Government and the Darwin Major Business Group (DMBG) will lead a Facing North delegation to Canberra this week.

Facing North brings together business, industry and government to showcase the Northern Territory to the rest of the country.

The event will be held in Parliament House, Canberra on 2 August and includes a forum with lead speakers and guest contributors discussing key cultural, strategic and economic pillars of the Territory, highlights include:

Facing North for a cleaner energy future - how the Territory is building on its natural strengths in mineral resources and mining to power renewable and lower-emissions energy.Facing North to the forefront of Australia's national resilience - exploring the Territory's role in Australia's national resilience and response efforts including Defence, humanitarian and disaster response to biosecurity.Facing North for commercial prosperity - business and industry leaders will highlight the many current and future opportunities on the horizon and huge potential for long term creation of sustainable commercial businesses and new industry.Facing North to Australia's cultural heart - hear from leaders set to show the richness of Australia's cultural heart through projects such as the National Aboriginal Art Gallery, the Larrakia Cultural Centre and growth in Aboriginal tourism offerings.

Facing North is an opportunity to look beyond the Territory's borders and attract and secure investment and trade.
