Theft of wheelchair in Frankston

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a wheelchair from a Frankston apartment building last month.

Investigators have been told unknown offender/s have entered the stairwell of a block of units on Nepean Highway sometime between 9am on 17 December and 10am on 18 December.

The wheelchair, which is stored on the ground level which has a locked glass door, was stolen.

It belongs to a 55-year-old man who suffered an acquired brain injury and a broken leg after being hit by a car in late 2020.

The wheelchair is described as having a silver frame, black seat and no footrest.
