Three arrested as part of Operation Acropolis

Detectives from the Caulfield Divisional Response Team have arrested and charged three people in relation to Operation Acropolis targeting drug trafficking in the south eastern suburbs.

Yesterday morning police executed four search warrants in Brighton East, Bentleigh East, and Berwick.

Police also seized a commercial quantity of cannabis, methamphetamine and MDMA from the properties.

Police arrested two people, a 28-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both from Brighton East.

The man has been charged with theft, cultivate, traffick a commercial quantity of drug of dependence, possess drug of dependence, possess proceeds of crime, obtain property by deception and fail to provide pin code.

He was expected to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court last night.

The woman has been charged with theft, fail to provide pin code, possess proceeds of crime, possess drug of dependence and various traffic offences.

She has been bailed to appear at the Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on 31 May,

As part of the same operation, police arrested a 25-year-old Cheltenham man last Saturday in an allegedly stolen Audi.

The man was arrested in Fairlam Lane, Cheltenham after allegedly attempting to ram a police car and fleeing from police.

A quantity of methylamphetamine was also seized.

He has been charged with:

• Traffick commercial quantity Methylamphetamine

• Possess Methylamphetamine

• Possess Butanediol

• Theft of motor vehicle

• Two counts of handle stolen goods

• Three counts of deal property suspected proceeds of crime

• Make false document

• Fail to stop vehicle on police request

• Drive whilst disqualified

• Fail to provide password

• Possess steroids

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 17 June 2019.
