Three important conversations on Helensburgh - Wollongong

Helensburgh Streetscape master plan

Wollongong City Council is calling for feedback from community members about three strategic projects in Helensburgh – the proposed Town Centre Plan, the Streetscape Masterplan and an option for the Helensburgh Library Project.

"Helensburgh is a vital town in our city and is our most northern area where we have about 7,100 community members," Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.

"Council has decided to combine these three essential opportunities so we can build a comprehensive look at what future considerations and actions we need to take. Council has already delivered a new play space in Charles Harper Park and new fitness equipment for the town."

By engaging on the plans simultaneously, Council is able to streamline community engagement, and also develop phased plans that can be ready to roll in early 2021.
