Three parks to open this weekend after extensive upgrades

Inner West Council

Inner West Council proudly relaunches three beloved community parks this weekend.

After an extensive program of refurbishment and renewal, the Inner West has spent $255,000 to upgrade these three playgrounds across two Council wards.

All three parks have seen extensive upgrades, including:

• New softfall surfacing and playground equipment

• New multiplay unit with slides, rope play equipment and swings for mixed age groups

• Nature play area with balance beams, log steppers and sandstone blocks

Investment in recreation and playgrounds for people of all ages in the inner west is an important part of our plan to build a healthier and happier local community.

"We all learned, post COVID, just how precious our parks and recreation spaces are for our physical and mental health.

"From our pocket parks to our sporting fields, these are precious places where we can come together as a community.

"I'm thrilled to be relaunching these playgrounds for the locals to enjoy every day," said Councillor Jess D'Arienzo, Ashfield-Djarrawunang Ward.
