Three technical staff members were acknowledged with the 2021 Special Contribution Award on November 17.
Each year, the Institute recognizes a number of staff members who have, over several years of service, contributed to the advancement of research and education activities while demonstrating outstanding overall performance.

"For outstanding contributions to research support at the Materials Analysis Division and to the operation of the Institute's shared facilities"
Yoshinori Yasuraoka
Technical Specialist, ICT Support Division, Open Facility Center
"For his contributions to the planning, operation, and maintenance of Global Scientific Information and Computing Center (GSIC) hosting services, and the operation of the TSUBAME computer system"
