Tim Hill Reserve upgrade complete

A $393,000 upgrade at Tim Hill Reserve in Highton is complete, delivering fully automated field-wide irrigation, rotunda, new synthetic cricket wicket, AFL wicket cover and AFL goal posts.

The reserve is used by Alexander Thomson Cricket Club, who will benefit from the upgrades when the new cricket season begins.

Other aspects of the project included:

  • a new eastern fence line and boundary barrier fencing along Wandana Drive
  • new storage facility for the Alexander Thomson Cricket Clubincreased fencing height for
  • safety at the Wandana Heights Tennis Club courtsreplacement and reorientation of the synthetic cricket wicket
  • relocation and replacement of the AFL goal postsrealignment of the field of play to maximise the field size

The project will be of significant benefit to the residents of the region, including tenant clubs.

I'm sure it's a much more enjoyable experience playing cricket, football or tennis here now with the recent improvements.
