Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Timothy Barden.
A warrant has been issued for the 42-year-old Cobden man's arrest in relation to firearm and assault offences.
Barden is described as 185cm tall, medium build, blue eyes and short brown hair.
He is known to frequent the Corangamite area.
Investigators have released an image of Barden in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
Anyone who sights Barden is urged not to approach him and to contact triple zero (000) immediately.
