Top End Gearing Up For Super Week Of Supercars Action

NT Government

The 2026 betr Darwin Triple Crown Supercars returns to Hidden Valley next week, in another massive year of Territory motorsports.

The program includes Supercars, Super2, monster trucks, Summernats Goes Top End, stunt shows, and family-friendly activations.

The Finocchiaro CLP Government is backing a jam-packed pipeline of local, sport and major events as we rebuild our economy and restore our lifestyle.

On the back of a record-breaking slate of events, the countdown is on as Darwin gears up for the betr Darwin Triple Crown Supercars.

Roaring into Hidden Valley from 19 to 21 June, this year's event is set to be the biggest Supercars yet, spanning five days of high-octane motorsports.

Minister for Tourism and Hospitality and Minister for Major Events, Marie-Clare Boothby, said Darwin was ready to welcome motorsport fans from across the Territory and Australia.

"Supercars isn't just a race weekend - it's an action-packed week of loud, exciting, family fun bringing Territorians together in a way that only the Territory can," Minister Boothby said.

"As monster trucks take over the MXGP track, and convoys course through Darwin City, one thing will become patently clear: that there's nowhere better to live, work, visit or invest than here in the Northern Territory."

"We'll continue to back local, sport and major events like this - not just because they're a huge boost to the economy, but because creating more for everyday Territorians to do forms part of our plan to restore our unique Territory lifestyle."

Last year's Darwin Triple Crown attracted a whopping 37,000 attendances, injecting nearly $28 million into the Territory economy. This year, the event has been expanded to five days of family fun.

Minister for People, Sport and Culture, Jinson Charls, said the Darwin Supercars were giving families another reason to celebrate our lifestyle.

"There is nothing like the energy of the Darwin Supercars crowd, and this year we are putting our youth and families front and centre with monster trucks, stunt shows and an activation zone for kids," Minister Charls said.

"With three full days of action on and off the track, we've built an event that belongs to the people. It's fast, it's loud, and it's the best place for families to kick off the dry season together."

Member for Drysdale and Assistant Minister for People, Sport and Culture, Clinton Howe, said that many families in his electorate of Drysdale were excited for the event, which would bring Supercars to the heart of Palmerston.

"There's nowhere else like the Territory, and whether it's the Supercars, the footy, or one of our unique cultural festivals, there's no better place for sport and major events than right here."

"We promised to restore our lifestyle, and this is what it looks like: giving families more to do, including families in Palmerston."

On Wednesday, 17 June, the largest-ever line-up of supercar transporters will take to the streets, as the Supercars and Super2 Transporter Convoy travels from Hidden Valley Raceway through Palmerston, along the Stuart Highway and into the Darwin CBD.

On Thursday, 18 June, the Track-to-Town returns to the Darwin CBD, with supercars traveling up Tiger Brennan Drive to the Esplanade for a huge day of family fun, featuring driver signings, live music, food trucks, and car displays.

That evening, the Deckchair Cinema will screen Supercars: Road to Glory, capturing the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship finale - one of the most intense title contests in motorsport history.

From Friday, a full weekend of stunts, racing, and high-octane energy will wow rev-heads and visitors alike, with:

Repco Supercars Championship racing over the three days for the first time; The debut of the Dunlop Super2 Series in Darwin;Monster trucks after Friday's first Supercars race on the MXGP track;Summernats Goes Top End on following Saturday's racing night; The Indigenous Round showcasing local culture and talent on Supercars liveries;Aerial stunt and motocross performances, drift cars, burnouts and power-skids; andA dedicated zone for kids, with access to a Pit Paddock - and FREE entry for children under 12.
