Townsville Eats returns with record food vendors

Get ready for a fusion of flavour with Townsville Eats back for August on Flinders Street.

This month's theme is Asian Fusion and there are a record-breaking 32 food vendors ready to serve up their best dishes.

Local Councillor Ann-Maree Greaney said Flinders Street is going to look spectacular for this month's Townsville Eats.

"I can't wait to see Flinders Street filled with people enjoying some incredible tastes of Asia with illuminated dragonfly paper lanterns decorating the street and a full line-up on our stages," Cr Greaney said.

"It's fantastic to see that the confidence in the event is growing and that we continue to welcome new vendors – this month we have Sakana Sushi and Suns Dumplings joining the line-up of food on offer.

"I'd like to thank Council staff for pulling together Townsville Eats – they have done a great job in creating an event that residents and visitors alike can enjoy."

Townsville Eats kicks off at 5pm tonight and includes food vendors, market stalls, live music and entertainment.
