Vehicle Outline
- Robust styling that meets diverse needs
With "Cyber SUMO" as the key design concept, the design of the new Hilux retains its power as a utility vehicle and the peace of mind provided to occupants by its interior space while evolving toward a more solid and sharp style. It is available in two styles: the base Z and the Z Adventure, which emphasizes individuality and toughness.
- Inspired by the initial charge between sumo wrestlers, the front view features a powerful presence within a stable stance, achieved through the sculpted forms created by the fender covers, radiator grille, and bumper.
- The Z Adventure model features a more visually striking style, incorporating a front lower bumper garnish that emphasizes toughness and a sports bar that accentuates its massive appearance.
- The interior provides a horizontal instrument panel that easily conveys the vehicle's position even during off-road driving. The independently positioned 12.3-inch center display minimizes eye movement, while the wide, linear center console placed in the center of the cabin emphasizes the vehicle's ruggedness and toughness.
- The switches required for driving have been consolidated at the bottom of the console, and they are clearly separated from navigation and climate control switches to ensure excellent visibility and ease of use.

- It retains a generous cargo capacity of up to 500 kg*1 and a flat floor, while featuring a deck space designed for even greater usability.
- It features a deck height of 845 mm*1 when the tailgate is open, as well as deck steps on the left and right rear quarter panels that make it easier to reach cargo for easier loading and unloading.

- Comfortable driving on all roads
The new Hilux features a traditional ladder-frame structure and a reliable part-time 4WD system. It also comes standard with Multi-Terrain Select, which integrates control of drive power and brake hydraulic pressure to deliver powerful off-road performance. Furthermore, the adoption of a suspension system designed for enhanced ride comfort along with electric power steering has improved on-road ride comfort as well as stability and controllability while maintaining its powerful off-road capabilities.
- The platform features the traditional ladder-frame structure refined in the IMV*2 series. Enhancements such as increased plate thickness in the frame side rails have been implemented to achieve an optimal balance of rigidity against overall vehicle bending and twisting, resulting in excellent ease of handling, including on-road driving.
- An additional 36 spot welds have been added to the floor panel, increasing floor rigidity and suppressing floor vibration and booming noise to improve stability and controllability as well as ride comfort.
- The new Hilux is equipped with a 2.8-liter direct-injection clean diesel engine (1GD-FTV). Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission (6 Super ECT), it achieves fuel efficiency and powerful acceleration during takeoff while also ensuring a quiet ride.
- A part-time 4WD system has been adopted that allows the driving mode to be selected simply by operating the transfer case switch. It comes standard with Multi-Terrain Select and Multi-Terrain Monitor, ensuring excellent off-road performance across a wide range of road conditions.
- For the suspension, the spring rate was optimized for the body rigidity while the damping force of the shock absorbers was revised, delivering a comfortable and stable ride both on and off-road.
- The adoption of electric power steering ensures a responsive steering feel and improved maneuverability at low speeds, while also reducing unwanted steering vibrations caused by kickback during off-road driving, contributing to stable steering.
- The adoption of an electric parking brake adds a stop-hold function to the Radar Cruise Control (with All-speed Tracking Function), offering comfortable support even during congestion on long drives.

- It is equipped with Connected functions that support a safe and comfortable driving experience. These include Connected Navigation*3-compatible Display Audio Plus with a 12.3-inch HD display, which utilizes the latest maps and traffic information by maintaining a constant connection to the center via the DCM*4, as well as Help Net*5, which automatically connects to an operator when an airbag deploys to facilitate a rapid response.
