Trio arrested on drug charges

Riverland Police, acting on information from the public, arrested and charged two men and a woman with serious drug offences.

Just before 2.30am on Friday 6 December, police stopped a car travelling on Kingston Road, Moorook. The vehicle was subsequently searched and over 90 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine was located.

Three people inside the vehicle - a 38-year-old man from Moorook, a 39-year-old man from Barmera and a 49-year-old woman from Loveday were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug. The trio were remanded in custody until their next court hearing on 13 December.
