Several vehicles have been hit and rammed by a construction truck in Sydney's west this evening.
About 5.35pm today (Monday 16 March 2026), emergency services were called to the intersection of Juno Parade and Punchbowl Road, Lakemba, following reports of a truck crash.
Officers attached to Auburn and Campsie Police Area Commands attended and found that a Nissan construction truck had rammed a car before driving from the scene.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
The truck then collided with several cars at the intersection of Punchbowl Road and Seymour Parade, during which a passenger of one of the cars jumped from the vehicle.
The passenger was located by police and assessed by NSW Ambulance for minor injuries.
Police were further told the truck continued down Seymour Parade, where it hit several more cars before crashing into a tree and stopping at the corner Carter Street and Burwood Road, Belfield.
Three people – including a child – were injured on Seymour Parade, and taken to hospital for assessment.
The driver of the construction truck – a 39-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to St George Hospital for mandatory testing.
There have been no reports of serious injuries.
Emergency services are working to remove the truck from the scene and traffic diversions are in place.
An investigation into the cause of the incident has commenced.
